1. What is GluCA™ Gel?

• GluCA™ Gel is an effective topical 2.5% calcium gluconate gel used in first aid when hydrofluoric acid (HF) burns or contacts the body. Calcium gluconate combines with hydrofluoric acid to neutralize the powerful fluoride ion.

2. Why GluCA™ Gel?

• Hydrofluoric acid burns can be fatal, exposure must be addressed immediately. GluCATM Gel provides the most recommended application method and concentration of calcium gluconate to effectively neutralize hydrofluoric acid's powerful fluoride ion.

3. Pharmacology

• GluCA™ Gel contains Calcium Gluconate USP 2.5% w/w in a clear, viscous, colorless and odorless water miscible gel base.

4. Indication

• Calcium gluconate gel is indicated as an integral part in responding to Hydrofluoric Acid exposure to the body, mitigating or preventing the related pain and potential tissue burns and bone damage.

5. Usage

• If hydrofluoric acid contacts the body, it is highly recommended to wash/flush the area with cool water for at least 10 minutes to remove HF surface residue. Apply GluCATM Gel freely to the affected areas and continuously massage into the skin. Seek medical attention.

6. Precautions

• ① Store between 15-30°C (59-86°F).
• ② Use directly from tube, one tube per application, then safely discard.
• ③ Ensure adequate ventilation at all times.
• ④ Contra-indications: For external use only.
